If you turn on a flash light and point it to the sky, the rays of light start at the head of the flashlight and go on and on in the direction the flash light is pointed. The lighted torch also gives the rays of light.

What is a Line Segment?

Draw a line ‘m’ and mark two points P and Q Then the portion of the line from P to Q is called the line segment PQ. P and Q are the end points of the line segment PQ.

Line segment is a part of a line with two fixed end points.
